Freezing Embrace

Episode 1

Detective Antti Hautalehto starts to investigate when a young man goes missing after a Christmas party. Rookie cop Tero, the son of one of Hautalehto’s colleagues, is determined to get involved.

Episode 2

Hautalehto investigates when more young men drown. A witness goes on the run. Hautalehto’s wife wants a divorce, while his senior officer returns to work after a bereavement.

Episode 3

Another murder adds to the tension around the case, and Hautalehto finds himself at loggerheads with his boss. Is a serial killer at work? Tero is creating confusion without realising it.

Episode 4

Statistics confirm the theory of a serial killer. To add to the danger and stress, suspicions about who might be guilty throw the investigation into disarray. Is someone covering the killer’s tracks?

Episode 5

The detectives gain more useful information about the drownings. Hautalehto gets unexpected guests for Christmas dinner, but the festivities are dramatically interrupted.

Episode 6

The National Bureau of Investigation takes over the case. Hautalehto and the Porvoo police are suspected of protecting one of their own colleagues.

Episode 7

The media pile on the pressure, while the police high command demand results. Hautalehto conducts his own investigations in secret, while his love life suffers because of his work.

Episode 8

The NBI and Hautalehto join forces to get to the bottom of events. Hautalehto underestimates the killer's furious vindictiveness and puts an innocent person’s life in danger.
